Space Art Contest

Each year we challenge students in grades 5-8 to create original drawings that depict various aspects of space. They are judged by representatives from NASA, Industry, and other Non-Profits that work with Title 1 schools. Each year, we challenge students in grades 5–8 to create original artwork inspired by space exploration. Their submissions are evaluated by representatives from NASA, industry, and nonprofit organizations supporting Title I schools. Past themes explored life in space and the 50th anniversary of Apollo. The most recent theme, “Better Together,” challenged students to design astronaut badges. Winning designs were flown to space and back aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket before being returned to the students with a commemorative “Flown in Space” stamp.
